We have used Ulises Tiling on two occasions: the first for a very small job that no-one else would even come and look at, and more recently for a complete renovation of our main bathroom, separate toilet and ensuite.

 

Ulises came to our house promptly and provided a written quote within a few days.  He talked us through each item of the quote and made sure we understood everything, he was happy to answer our questions and never made us feel like they we're 'stupid'. The quote was competitive and we were able to lock in a commencement date that was not unreasonable.

 

Ulises kept in contact with us very regularly.  He laid drop cloths over all our furniture and floors, and made sure that the site was cleaned up every day by his sub-contractors.  He also dropped by regularly to check on progress and to remove rubbish. At the end of each day he let me know what would happen next and what time I could expect the next tradesperson to arrive.

 

I got on extremely well with his sub-contractors.  They were very approachable and all got on well with each other.  They were always happy and smiling, even when something didn't quite go to plan. As can be expected, we did have a few minor 'glitches', but they took the time to come up with solutions and then explain what they were going to do. His contractors were also able to give me advice on what type of bathtub would best work in my bathroom.

 

As each room was finished, Ulises sent in a professional cleaner to make sure everything was really clean and ready to use.  He also had the carpets cleaned in the main bedroom after the ensuite was completed.

 

I absolutely love the finished spaces and I have no hesitation in recommending Ulises.  He is easy to get along with, patient, respectful and very trustworthy.  I would be happy to have him and his sub-contractors work in my house again.

It is with great pleasure I write this recommendation for Ulises. Ulises came to my home the same day I called him, knowing that I was on a deadline, he scheduled the work for the next day and was on site at exactly 8:30am as promised.

 

The real thing however that sets Ulises apart from other tradesmen is this… My house is very humble but he treated it as my ‘home’ and I didn’t have the biggest job on his books by a long way, but he treated me as if it was equally as important. (Thank you for that Ulises)

 

Day One: I walked in that evening to see little things he’d done above and beyond what he had to do. (little things that count)

He moved and plugged in my fridge so I could use it, he unhooked and moved my washing machine for me, organised his plumber to come and disconnect my new gas stove and then moved it out of harm’s way for me. The little things that I couldn’t have done myself.

 

All my other furniture and possessions had been covered with drop sheets and after jack hammering up all my tiles all day, there was not one bit of rubble left. The concrete floors had been vacuumed, and to my amazement all my kitchen cupboards escaped without one bit of damage!

 

He called me that night to tell me how it went and what they’d be doing the next day…'the tiling'.

 

Day Two: He picked up my tiles from Bunnings, (all part of his great service), and he nearly completed laying them by the time I got home.

 

All the cardboard packaging was gone, no rubbish in sight, and again I was kept in the loop for the next day’s plan.

 

At the end of the job (on-time), he put back my fridge (and switched it on), put back my washing machine (and hooked it up), as well as having my gas stove in place ready for the plumber to come back that afternoon to re-connect. He then sent his cleaner around to do a final clean of the tiles as well as clean any dust that was left, right down to vacuuming window sills. (his cleaner was brilliant too by the way!)

 

I am absolutely delighted to have met Ulises. I will without doubt call him for any future projects, no matter how big or small. To have a Tradie who arrives on time with a smile and a sense of humour is great, but to have that as well as a fantastic ‘TRADESPERSON’ is the ultimate.

Let us start by saying that we were lucky that we had offered the renovation services to Ulises Tiling & Building Services. Our very first impression of Ulises was that he is professional, honest, approachable, respectful, and can be trusted. And we were correct!

 

We had an agreement with Ulises to renovate our existing laundry, toilet, and bathroom, converting them into an ensuite, a new toilet, a new laundry with bath area. We also had a condition that the said renovation will not affect our daily routines. Ulises had been very flexible, systematic and very understanding with our request. Big renovations come with some apprehensions, as this was actually the first time we had this experience. In late February I commissioned Ulises Vidal, trading as Ulises Tiling, to completely renovate my bathrooms and toilets. Despite finding and having to remove asbestos in the walls, the work in progress was kept to the agreed schedule.

Ulises was in daily contact, either personally or by phone, to ensure that I was satisfied with all aspects of the reconstruction work.

My family and I have recently had our bathroom, ensuite and Laundry renovated by yourself and your company and we would like to send our compliments to you and your business.

 

In June of this year 2013 I discovered a leak from our bathroom into the hallway of our family home. I contacted 3 or 4 companies to provide a quote for the repair of the leak. To be honest I was hoping that a smallish repair would suffice and I mentioned that was my desire to those who I called.

 

Ulises was the only company, amongst some reputable competition who gave a professional response and who was prepared to consider a small scale repair as opposed to a major bathroom renovation. As it happened our bathroom had not been waterproofed and in addition extensive white ant damage was discovered. Though we now had no real choice but to agree to a full bathroom renovation. Ulises continued to provide us with various alternative quotes and guarantees at my request, to win our business.

 

We decided to take the opportunity to renovate our ensuite and our laundry in the same style as the bathroom. Ulises and his workman rearranged their schedule and agreed to this now more major renovation in a very timely fashion.

Throughout the renovation the builders were always respectful of our big families needs and were courteous and well mannered. He would often phone us about start time and regularly would inform us of the progress of our job.
